Appearance Design

BYD Han L EV continues the BYD family’s ‘Dragon Face’ design, with the front face trim and headlights linked together, making the vehicle look sharper and more dominant. The vents in the front surroundings incorporate the ‘dragon whisker’ element, full of details, reflecting the distinctive brand characteristics. In particular, the addition of LIDAR signifies that the Han L EV is equipped with the DiPilot 300 ‘Eye of the God’ high-level intelligent driver assistance system, which is expected to bring important improvements in the field of intelligent driving.

In terms of body dimensions, the BYD Han L EV has a length, width and height of 5050/1960/1505 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2970 mm, which is a circle larger than the current Han model, which signals a significant increase in interior space, further enhancing ride comfort and practicality. At the rear of the car, the newly designed ‘Chinese knot’ through the tail lamps and the illuminated ‘BYD’ logo are particularly eye-catching and highly recognisable at night. The overall shape not only emphasises practicality, but also adds a sporty touch.

Interior Design

The interior design of BYD Han L EV has also been completely upgraded. The vehicle adopts a large number of leather parcels and bamboo wood materials, which enhances the sense of luxury and refinement of the interior. The centre console uses a large-size floating LCD screen and a full LCD instrument cluster, which is full of technology. The steering wheel adopts a three-spoke design and is equipped with an electronic pocket gear, while the central armrest features a wireless charging panel for mobile phones and a row of silver physical buttons for more user-friendly operation. The vehicle also provides panoramic sunroof, Danner audio, HUD head-up display and other high-end features, creating a comfortable and luxurious driving environment.

Powertrain

BYD Han L EV is equipped with a new pure electric drive system. The single-motor model has a maximum power of 500 kW, while the front and rear motors of the dual-motor model have a power of 230 kW and 580 kW respectively, with a combined power of 810 kW, which gives the vehicle the ability to accelerate to zero hundred in 2.7 seconds, with a performance that is comparable to that of a top supercar. Its power performance is not only reflected in the starting acceleration, but also in the high-speed range and back-end acceleration performance, which can perfectly cope with the needs of various road conditions. In addition, the Han L EV still adopts BYD’s proud lithium iron phosphate blade batteries, which ensure efficient power output and excellent safety performance.
