(GAC-HONDA) was established on July 1, 1998 as a joint venture between Guangzhou Automobile Group Corporation and Honda Motor Co., Ltd. of Japan, with each side holding 50% of the shares for a period of 30 years. GAC Honda has two plants, Huangpu Plant and Zengcheng Plant, with a combined production capacity of 360,000 vehicles per year and a combined land area of 1.6 million square meters. GAC Honda currently employs more than 6,800 people (as of the end of December 2008). The main products produced by GAC Honda are Accord series sedan, Odyssey utility series sedan, Fit series sedan and CITY Frontier series sedan with four series and 21 types of models.
