Hedmos is a name that didn’t exist two years ago — it’s the electric sub-brand of Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën, the Wuhan joint venture behind Peugeot and Citroën in China, and the 06 is its very first car. What that gives you is an odd mix: a battery SUV built on Dongfeng’s DSMA platform, but with the chassis signed off by the same French engineers who tune a 408. Sales opened in China in May 2025, and because the badge is still finding its feet abroad, what lands on your dock really does depend on which market picks it up first.
This is a compact electric SUV with nothing under the bonnet but motor and electronics, so think family hauler rather than trail rig. Five seats, 520 km on CLTC, and a price point that sits in the thick of the mainstream — we won’t quote a number, because it shifts market by market and the export side is what we actually handle.
Exterior
Short overhangs, a closed-off nose, and a full-width tail light that arcs like a violin bow — that last bit is the one DPCA points to, and fair enough, it reads cleaner than most of the segment. The body sits 4,670 mm long, 1,900 wide, 1,617 tall on a 2,775 mm wheelbase, which puts it right between a Citroën C3 Aircross and a Peugeot e-2008 in size, only a touch longer in the wheelbase than either.
Hidden door handles, a pair of side creases rather than one, and 19-inch wheels on the launch trim keep it looking newer than it is. The wind runs low — they tuned the drag, though nobody’s quoting a figure we’d stake a customer on — and the rear gets a small spoiler and a high-mounted brake light for the sport bit. Six colours at home; export markets may see fewer, and that’s worth checking before you promise a fleet in a specific shade.
Interior
Calmer in here than the shell would have you expect. A 14.6-inch screen floats above the dash with a 10.25-inch cluster behind the wheel, Snapdragon 8155 does the processing so nothing lags, wireless CarPlay and the usual phone links are standard, and — the bit I’d actually point out to a customer — the cabin wraps 85% soft-touch PVC so it doesn’t feel like a rental the moment you shut the door. Try it on a cold morning and the seat heat and venting come on without digging through menus.
Space is the quiet strength. Five seats, 506 litres of boot with the bench up, 1,806 once the rear folds flat, which is enough for a two-metre air mattress if a customer asks — and one did, that’s a real camping use case. There are 22 storage spots scattered around, four cupholders in the console, and a flat-bottom wheel that suits the French positioning more than you’d think. TVOC sits under the national limit, so the new-car smell clears quicker than in some rivals.
Powertrain and Chassis
Battery and nothing else — the Hedmos 06 has no engine, no generator, nothing to fill up.
One drivetrain for now: a single 160 kW motor on the front axle, or 217 PS, pulling 310 Nm off a 62.3 kWh LFP pack good for 520 km on CLTC; call that a real-world figure a good bit lower once WLTP or local testing applies, and 6.9 seconds to 100 km/h, which is genuinely quick for a front-drive family SUV and honest about what it is. DC peaks at 90 kW, so 30 to 80% eats about 28 minutes, and there’s 3.3 kW of vehicle-to-load for the campsite kit.
Underneath there are MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link rear, tuned by the CLDR crew — Peugeot-Citroën’s chassis people — which shows up in how flat it stays and how little it jitters over broken tarmac. The moose test came back at 75 km/h and the turning circle is a tight 5.4 metres, which is the sort of thing a dealer demonstrates in a car park rather than reads about. High-strength steel through the body, six airbags, and Level 2 assistance handles AEB, adaptive cruise and lane keeping.
One caveat worth keeping straight: the figures above are CLTC, the Chinese cycle, and we’ve not seen a confirmed WLTP or NEDC number yet — so when you quote range abroad, treat 520 km as the optimistic end and let us confirm the local test figure per destination. Export availability is opening market by market rather than all at once, which is the part we track closest.
FAQ
What is the Hedmos 06, and who actually builds it? It’s the first model from HEDMOS (示界), the electric brand of Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën — the same Wuhan joint venture that builds Peugeot and Citroën cars in China. The 06 is a pure-electric A+ SUV launched at home in May 2025, built on Dongfeng’s DSMA platform with French chassis input. It’s a new entrant outside China, so local launch timing and naming vary by market and we’d confirm both before you commit.
How far does it go, and how long does charging take? CLTC gives 520 km from the 62.3 kWh LFP pack, and DC charging does 30 to 80% in about 28 minutes at 90 kW peak, with 3.3 kW V2L on the side. The honest note: that 520 km is the Chinese test cycle, not WLTP, so the number your market quotes will come in lower — we check the local figure per destination rather than guess.
Is it a pure EV or a range extender? Pure electric — a BEV, one battery, a front motor, no fuel anywhere. No REEV or PHEV version has been shown, so if a customer wants a generator onboard, this isn’t that car; point them at a different platform.
Can the Hedmos 06 be imported to my country? Where a market has no import certification rule, it goes straight in. Some regions do ask for type approval and the EU is the one that comes up most, so in those cases we have to confirm first whether the model can be supplied with the certification your country wants. Send the destination over and we’ll check it properly.
How do you supply the Hedmos 06, and how do we start? We’re a China-based auto export company, so we source the Hedmos 06 from the manufacturer and handle everything on the export side — paperwork, booking, sea freight, delivery into your port. Most people we deal with are overseas dealers and importers putting together a steady line out of China, though we also help individual buyers running their own import. Send over your market, drive side and rough volume, and we’ll come back with availability, shipping options and the document list your destination actually needs.
