Exterior Design

The Toyota bZ7 adopts the brand’s latest bZ family design language. The front end features a closed-off grille design with full-width LED daytime running lights, complemented by sharp, split-style headlight clusters, giving the vehicle a distinctly futuristic look. Large air intakes on either side of the front bumper not only enhance the sporty visual appeal but also improve aerodynamic performance. The side profile features a streamlined fastback design, with the roofline extending all the way to the rear. Combined with hidden door handles and large-diameter wheels, this creates a sleek, elongated silhouette. The rear is equipped with full-width LED taillights that echo the front light strip, while the clean, minimalist lines of the rear end clearly reflect a design style typical of electric vehicles.

In terms of dimensions, the Toyota bZ7 has reached the size of a full-size sedan. The new model measures 5,130 mm in length, 1,965 mm in width, and 1,506 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,020 mm. These dimensions are significantly larger than those of traditional sedans, resulting in a more spacious interior. In particular, rear-seat comfort is expected to be a major selling point of this vehicle.

Interior Design

The interior is one of the Toyota bZ7’s standout features. The vehicle features a minimalist, tech-forward cabin design. The center console is virtually devoid of traditional physical buttons, with most functions integrated into the large central touchscreen. This is complemented by a fully digital instrument cluster and a head-up display system, resulting in an overall layout that closely resembles that of today’s mainstream smart electric vehicles. More importantly, this model is the first to feature Huawei’s HarmonyOS smart cockpit system. The system supports voice control, intelligent navigation, an in-car app ecosystem, and smartphone connectivity, delivering a smoother overall user experience. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, multi-zone climate control, and a premium audio system, enhancing the cabin’s sense of technology and luxury.

Powertrain

The Toyota bZ7 utilizes Huawei’s DriveONE electric drive system with a rear-wheel-drive layout. The electric motor delivers a maximum output of 207 kW (approximately 278 hp), with a top speed of approximately 180 km/h. The battery pack utilizes a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from CALB and is available in different capacity versions. According to official data, the vehicle’s CLTC range can reach up to 710 km; even the base model offers a range of approximately 600 km, placing its overall performance on par with current mainstream mid-to-large-sized electric vehicles.
