The Dongfeng Forthing Lingzhi M5 EV two-seat van version adopts a pragmatic commercial-oriented exterior design language, featuring a square and streamlined front fascia with integrated halogen headlight assemblies and horizontal front grille strips that widen the visual width. It is fitted with vertically arranged taillights on both sides of the rear cargo compartment, ensuring high visibility in low-light road conditions. The rear tailgate supports full vertical opening to simplify cargo loading, and a low rear bumper reduces cargo handling height. The body provides three mainstream solid color options: Crystal White, Meteorite Gray and Deep Black, which cater to daily urban logistics usage scenarios.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,135 mm in length, 1,720 mm in width, and 1,990 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Optimized exclusively for cargo transportation, it cancels the rear passenger compartment and reserves a fully enclosed flat cargo hold with a maximum internal cargo length of 2,550 mm. The enclosed partition between the cockpit and cargo compartment isolates dust and noise effectively, balancing driving comfort and cargo carrying capacity. It is equipped with 15-inch steel wheels as standard to enhance load-bearing durability for frequent short-distance deliveries.
Interior Design
The Dongfeng Forthing Lingzhi M5 EV two-seat van version is equipped with an 8-inch embedded central control touchscreen and a mechanical digital instrument panel, focusing on practical operational efficiency rather than luxurious visual effects. The interior adopts two wear-resistant color schemes: Industrial Black and Light Ash, with all contact surfaces covered with textured hard plastic to resist scratches and stains during long-term commercial use. The cockpit retains dual independent front seats with integrated backrest adjustment, wrapped with waterproof fabric for easy daily cleaning.
In terms of standard configurations, the base model comes with front dual airbags, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, electric rearview mirror adjustment and cruise control for highway logistics trips. It also adds cargo compartment anti-slip rubber lining and interior storage grooves for driver tools. Unlike passenger-oriented EVs, this van version omits redundant intelligent entertainment functions and prioritizes durability. The optional upgraded package adds heated front seats and rear cargo compartment LED floodlights for all-weather delivery operations.
Powertrain
The Dongfeng Forthing Lingzhi M5 EV two-seat van version adopts a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous single electric motor layout, delivering a maximum power output of 70 kW and peak torque of 170 Nm. It matches a single-speed direct-drive electric transmission tailored for low-speed torque output, with an official top speed of 100 km/h suitable for urban expressway and suburban logistics routes. The vehicle is equipped with a 41.86 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, boasting a CLTC-rated cruising range of 300 km, meeting daily round-trip urban logistics mileage demands.
In fast-charging mode at ambient temperature of 25℃, it takes roughly 35 minutes to charge the battery from 30% to 80%. It supports intelligent kinetic energy recovery with three adjustable gears to extend actual cruising range during frequent start-stop urban driving. The vehicle adopts rear-wheel drive matching leaf spring non-independent rear suspension, which optimizes structural rigidity to support a maximum payload of over 900 kg for heavy-cargo transportation.
