Exterior
The Neta U doesn’t try to win a beauty contest. It wins on arithmetic instead. 4,549 mm long. 1,860 mm wide. 1,628 mm tall, 2,770 mm wheelbase. Competitive numbers for a compact SUV, and the wheelbase-to-length ratio is the one that matters — more cabin, less bonnet than the exterior suggests.
The shape is a conventional crossover. Upright stance, raised ride height. Precisely what buyers in emerging markets ask for, and they’re not shopping for a fashion statement either. They want something that clears a rough road, takes four or five people, and doesn’t look out of place outside an office. The U does all three.
Design details are restrained. Standard headlights with LED elements on higher trims, alloy wheels, roof rails on some versions, body cladding that survives a kerb. Nothing here dates quickly, which matters when you’re planning to keep a model in your lineup for years. One thing I’d flag. Spec varies more than usual between batches on this car. Confirm what your allocation actually includes rather than assuming from a previous order.
Interior
Inside, the U is straightforward and reasonably well equipped for its position. Central touchscreen, digital instrument display, reverse camera, keyless entry, climate control. That’s the core. Higher trims add a panoramic roof, synthetic leather, heated front seats, a powered driver’s seat.
Space is genuinely good for the class. The 2,770 mm wheelbase translates into usable rear knee room, and the boot is shaped sensibly for luggage rather than just being deep on paper. For a fleet running airport transfers, or a family using it as its only car, that beats any single feature you could name.
Material quality is where the price shows. I’d rather say that plainly to you than have your sales staff discover it in front of a customer. Upper surfaces are acceptable. Lower surfaces are hard plastic. Switchgear feels functional, not premium. For the buyers this car targets, that’s a fair trade — as long as you aren’t positioning it against a premium badge.
Cabin noise is average. At motorway speed you’ll hear the road, plus some wind around the A-pillars. It’s not a luxury experience and never intended to be. What it is: quiet enough at city speeds, which is where most of these cars spend most of their lives.
Powertrain and Chassis
Front-wheel drive, single permanent-magnet synchronous motor. Two power levels — 120 kW, or 163 hp, and 150 kW on the stronger version. Both are smooth and instant, which is the nature of the layout. The 120 kW car is the volume choice for fleet and rental operators. 0-100 km/h lands around 9.5 seconds. Not fast by EV standards. Doesn’t need to be. Entirely adequate for city work, motorway merging and a full load of passengers. Sell it on competence, not pace.
Battery options give CLTC figures of 401 km, 450 km and 501 km, pack depending. Honest view on how I’d use those numbers with a buyer: CLTC is an idealised cycle, and real-world range at highway speed with the aircon running will be meaningfully lower. For urban and suburban use, the 401 km version covers a normal week comfortably. For intercity or airport-transfer fleets doing high daily mileage, specify the larger pack and plan charging around the depot.
Charging supports DC fast charging and AC. Exact rates depend on the version you order. Confirm those with us for your specific configuration — it’s one of the details that moves around across trims and packs.
Chassis is MacPherson strut front, torsion beam rear, tuned for comfort rather than agility. It absorbs rough surfaces reasonably well, which suits road conditions in many target markets. Service costs are low, parts are simple, and there’s no complex drivetrain to go wrong. For a rental or ride-hail fleet working out cost per vehicle per year, that’s the whole argument in one sentence.
FAQ
What warranty and battery coverage applies to the Neta U? Standard export terms cover the vehicle and the high-voltage battery. Exact duration and mileage sit in your supply contract — don’t assume them. For fleet customers, I’d recommend agreeing the support terms in writing before the first order, including what happens with battery degradation over the contract period. We supply technical documentation and diagnostic access, so your workshop can service the Neta U independently. Ask for the current written terms.
Which range version should I order? Start with the daily duty cycle. City use, ride-hail, rental — the 401 km CLTC version is usually the sensible volume pick. Covers a normal working day comfortably and costs less. Intercity, airport transfer, anything with high daily mileage — specify the 450 or 501 km pack so the car completes a shift without charging mid-day. Plenty of importers order a mix, which is usually the right answer if your customer base is varied.
Is the Neta U suitable for rental and ride-hail fleets? Yes — and honestly, that’s where most of these cars make the most sense. Mechanical layout is simple, the cabin takes real passengers, and running cost per kilometre is low. What I’d plan for is driver training. An electric car shared by many different drivers needs clear charging instructions, and a depot charging strategy rather than a reliance on public infrastructure. Get that right and the economics are compelling. Get it wrong and your fleet will complain about charging, not about the car.
How do I import the Neta U to my country? Send your destination and expected volume, and we’ll map the specific path for your market. Expect the standard sequence — type approval or homologation, battery transport and safety rules, charging standard compatibility, local registration requirements. Emerging markets vary widely in what they ask for, and some routes are considerably simpler than others, so it’s worth asking us before you budget for a long approval process. We prepare the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and conformity documentation, and can arrange third-party inspection where needed. Give us your market and you’ll get a concrete document list back.
How do you supply the Neta U and how do we start working together? We’re a Chinese export company, so supply runs directly from us to you. Container or RoRo both work. The choice usually depends on whether you’re ordering a sample unit or a full fleet allocation. We handle factory allocation, pre-shipment inspection, export documentation and loading, and we keep you updated through production and the voyage. To start, send your company profile, target market, the battery and trim spec you want and first-year volume. You’ll get availability, lead times and a formal quotation. That first exchange costs you nothing, and it tells both of us quickly whether this is a fit.
