Baojun Yep is a pure electric SUV under the Baojun brand.The new car is positioned as an urban pure electric SUV and is equipped with Car-watch for the first time.1 On May 25, 2023, Baojun Yep was launched, and on April 12, 2024, Baojun Yep Plus and 2024 Baojun Yep were officially launched.
Exterior
Baojun Yep adopts the Square Box design language, which is square and wide. Its length, width and height are 3381/1685/172121mm, wheelbase is 2110mm and turning radius is 4.6 meters. It offers five colors: sunrise, morning, cloud, neon and deep sky, corresponding to orange, green, white, pink and black. Yep also claims to adopt city zebra headlights, with “four horizontal and four vertical” layout, and equipped with automatic headlights, built-in 184 LED beads, near light irradiation angle > 45 °, near light irradiation distance up to 60m, and long-distance light irradiation distance up to 178m.
Interior
The Interior of Baojun Yep adopts the Joy Box design language, and comes in two color schemes, “Mono White” and “Self Black”. The Interior is covered with 100% soft leather in all high-frequency human contact areas, mostly covered with high-class matte leather, and equipped with automatic inverter air conditioning. In addition, the car also has comfortable Q-bounce large seats, and the main driver’s seat is equipped with 6-way power adjustment as standard in the whole system, and the Wise Edition adds 4-way power adjustment for the passenger side, which supports electric one-touch entry and exit.
Performance
Yep is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 50kW and maximum torque of 140N-m. The new car comes standard with MacPherson independent front suspension and three-link integral axle rear suspension, and adopts a rear-mounted rear-drive arrangement. The Baojun Yep also has a pure electric range of 303km and supports two modes of fast and slow charging.
Configuration
The new car comes standard with main and passenger dual airbags, ESC body electronic stability system, ABS anti-lock system, hill assist, reversing camera/reversing radar, AUTO HOLD, creep function, tire pressure display function, etc. The Intelligent Edition model adds AEB automatic emergency braking system, FCW front collision warning, LDW lane departure warning, DOW door opening warning, BSD blind zone monitoring, 360 panoramic image, etc. 4. Panoramic image and so on. In addition, the new car is equipped with the “Rhinoceros Intelligent Driving System” jointly created by SAIC-GM-Wuling and DJI Vehicles, which has high-level driving assistance capabilities.
