As standard, the new Tang EV features a 2+2+2 six-seat layout (with an optional seven-seat model), which marks a change in layout, as well as softer seat fabrics and upholstery for improved ride comfort. The BYD Tang EV is available in a high-performance version with front and rear electric motors rated at 180 kW and 200 kW, respectively, and accelerating to 100 km in just 4.4 seconds.

BYD Tang EV is a pure-electric SUV focusing on comfort and family. it is the flagship SUV of BYD Dynasty series, which has been deeply cultivated in the mainstream market for 8 years, with cumulative sales of more than 540,000 units. The facelift features three models, Tang EV Champion Edition, Tang DM-p Champion Edition/Warrior Edition, and Tang DM-i Champion Edition 200KM.

Exterior

The Tang series is now available in a new color, “Silver Glaze White”, which is inspired by the official kilns of the Tang Dynasty – Xing Kiln White Porcelain1.
Inheriting the family design, the EV version adopts a closed front grille without engine air intake, which is clearly differentiated from the DM-i/DM-p front face and has a lower wind resistance coefficient.

In terms of body dimensions, the new car’s length, width and height are 4900 x 1950 x 1725mm, and the wheelbase is 2820mm.

The side adopts the front sharp back round waistline design, retaining the mechanical door handles.

Interior

Interior design still inherits the family design.

The left and right symmetrical design of the center console, the application of glossy black “Chinese knot” pattern decorative panels and standard with 31-color ambient lighting.

The floating center control screen supports horizontal and vertical rotation switching, and integrates air conditioning control, vehicle control, entertainment control, map navigation and other functions.

Performance

The model is equipped with a front-mounted front-drive permanent magnet synchronous single motor with a maximum power of 180kW, peak torque of 350N-m, and acceleration time of 3.9s from 0-50km/h.

The battery is powered by a 108.8kWh lithium iron phosphate blade battery with a CLTC range of 730km.

Configuration

The new Tang EV is equipped with a decent-sized panoramic sunroof with a large openable area, further enhancing the sense of space and transparency inside the cabin.

The new Tang EV does not make major adjustments to the Interior design, but only upgrades the configuration and features, such as the new HUD head-up display and Danner audio configuration, as well as a new design of the center control screen UI.

The new Tang EV added a new 6-seat version of the model, the second row is also set up with independent electric seats, which can support multi-directional adjustment, ventilation heating massage and other functions, and also increased the fragrance system, with the Danner sound system, the interior comfort configuration is very luxurious.
