The MAXUS Interstellar X is an all-around off-road pickup truck launched by SAIC Datsun, offering both pure electric and diesel power versions. The model is based on the Starbridge architecture, and the diesel version is equipped with the SAIC πPlus 2.5T engine, with a maximum power of 165kW and a peak torque of 520N-m. The purely electric version adopts a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system, with a front motor power of 138kW and a rear motor power of 216kW, and is matched with a 102kWh battery pack, which gives it a CLTC range of 560km.

Exterior Design

MAXUS Interstellar X adopts the latest Interstellar technology order geometry in the exterior design, the overall body lines are sharp and hard, and the wide-body wheelbrows also highlight the hard-core mechanical aesthetics. Body length, width and height of 5500 × 2005 × 1860mm, wheelbase of 3300mm, reaching the level of medium and large pickup trucks. At the same time, Interstellar X also has the largest size rear cargo box in its class, with cargo box dimensions of 1,561mm x 1,600mm x 520mm, and a cargo box volume of up to 1,200L, which can be expanded to a maximum of 3,000L+.

In addition, Interstellar X can also realize the rear bucket and passenger compartment connectivity, which can release a large connectivity space of 2,600mm x 1,600mm, allowing the cargo space to continue to expand. Interstellar X EV, as a pure electric pickup truck, is more simple and technological in design, adopting a closed center mesh design with wrap-around “Interstellar headlamps”, which complements the hard lines of the body and significantly enhances the vehicle’s recognizability.

Interior Design

MAXUS Interstellar X through the 12.3-inch LCD instrument screen + 12.3-inch center control screen composed of dual-screen intelligent cockpit, dual-link intelligent car machine system integrates intelligent voice control, car-machine interconnection. And LCD screen resolution support multi-touch, while equipped with Tencent TAI 4.0 ecosystem, including Tencent maps, love interesting listening, along with the small scene, WeChat function, entertainment and practical at the same time. And in terms of intelligence, Interstellar X also supports the whole car OTA remote upgrade, commonly used often new, intelligent advancement never stop.

Chassis

MAXUS Interstellar X front and rear are all double-wishbone suspension structure, so that vehicle handling and high-speed stability is more outstanding. And the high end model is equipped with air suspension, which is able to adjust the suspension height within the range of -40mm~+75mm with the speed, and automatically adapts the suspension height according to different terrain modes to cope with a variety of terrains and different scenarios of working conditions. The fuel version of Interstellar X is equipped with three mechanical differential locks at the front, middle and rear, which can complete the extrication even if only one tire is on the ground. The standard Super Select 4WD brings a more complete all-terrain system, which has the durability and reliability of time-sharing 4WD and the automation of Intelligent 4WD, providing a convenient and easy 4WD experience for off-road novice users.

Power

The fuel version of MAXUS Interstellar X is equipped with the SAIC π Plus 2.5T diesel engine, with a maximum power of 165 kW and a peak torque of 520 Nm, whose power parameters are better than the 2.8T diesel engine used in the internationally renowned pickup truck HELIX, making it the strongest diesel engine pickup in China at the moment, and is matched with a ZF 8AT gearbox.
