Exterior design
The new Jeep Grand Cherokee retains the tough family-style appearance, but adds more sporty and sophisticated elements, such as the blackened seven-hole grille and full LED headlights with light eyebrows, which are significantly more “sophisticated” and make it better suited to modern urban life.
On the side of the body, the straight waistline and the rugged wheel arches continue the masculine style of the Grand Cherokee, and the elongated body design also makes the whole vehicle look more imposing and elegant. The lower waistline and wide windows allow more light to enter the cabin and increase the openness of the interior.
The rear part of the car is wide and full, with distinct layers. Under the tailgate lid is the “4xe” logo. A shiny black trim with the Jeep logo connects the left and right taillights, giving the appearance of a through-the-body design. In terms of body size, the new car measures 4906/1979/1812mm in length, width and height respectively, and has a wheelbase of 2964mm.
Interior design
The interior of the Grand Cherokee is still uncompromisingly American in style, with a simple design and luxurious materials. The flat center console is simple and atmospheric, and the sense of technology has been significantly enhanced. The front row features a 10-inch LCD center console screen, and the center console has been joined by a panel of imported North American century-old walnut wood, which enhances the overall sense of quality.
In terms of seat configuration, the new Grand Cherokee 4xe is equipped with heated, ventilated and massage seats in the front row and heated and ventilated seats in the rear row. The Far Hills version uses high-grade perforated Nappa leather seats, while the Pinnacle version uses Palermo semi-aniline perforated leather seats, demonstrating the American brand’s higher pursuit of luxury and detail.
Performance
When it comes to the Jeep brand, off-road performance has to be mentioned. The new Grand Cherokee 4xe is equipped with an ELSD electronic limited slip differential and a 2.72:1 low-speed transfer case. In addition, the new car also features Quadra-Lift air suspension, which supports 5 levels of height adjustment, while the Selec-Trac all-terrain mode selection system also includes 5 major driving mode options, giving the new car superb off-road capabilities.
In terms of power, the new Grand Cherokee 4xe is equipped with a 2.0T high-power engine + P2 dual-motor 4xe hybrid technology. The engine has a maximum power of 200kW and a maximum torque of 406.7N·m, while the system’s maximum comprehensive power is 276kW and the maximum torque is 637N·m. The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed manual-automatic transmission.
