Yangwang U8 is a million-class new energy off-road vehicle of BYD’s Yangwang brand. It is supported by two top technologies, namely the Easy Four Square and the Cloud Chariot-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control System, and is equipped with four-wheel independent torque vectoring control, which is capable of realizing scenarios such as extreme maneuverability, flat tire control, emergency flotation, turning in place, and agile steering.
Exterior design
Exterior design of Yangwang U8 adopts the new “Gate of Time and Space” design concept, which not only has a sense of the future and technology, but also integrates traditional Chinese cultural elements. The body lines are smooth, and the front part of the car adopts a bold front face shape and sharp headlight design, making the whole car look more dynamic and fashionable. Its front face adopts BYD’s family design language, with a large-sized grille paired with matrix LED headlamps, making a great visual impact.
Interior Features
The Interior of the Look U8 is very luxurious and comfortable, it is made of high-grade leather and wood-grain materials with exquisite stitching and chrome accents, creating an atmosphere of nobility and elegance. The new car’s Interior is available in two color schemes: black-orange and gray-brown, with the actual black-orange color scheme. Interior, the new car original Star River screen with curved OLED panel and screen size of 12.8 inches, Star River curved screen based on the real human body data model, selected the best tilt angle of 37 °, always ensure that each user can operate the screen in the most convenient posture.
Performance
The U8 is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.0T high-power engine and four motors, each of which can independently control a single wheel. The maximum power of a single motor is 220-240kW, and the maximum torque is 320-420N-m, with a total power of more than 1,200hp, and the fastest acceleration of the new vehicle can reach 3.6s from zero to one hundred percent.
Configuration
Yangwang U8 Deluxe Edition adopts non-load-bearing body, with length, width and height of 5319 (including spare tire)/2050/1930 mm, wheelbase of 3050 mm, minimum turning diameter of 11.52 meters, and body height adjustment stroke of 150 mm. In terms of off-road performance, the Rangoon U8 Deluxe Edition has an approach angle of 36.5 degrees, a departure angle of 35.4 degrees, a longitudinal passing angle of 25.5 degrees, and a maximum wading depth of 1,000 millimeters. The Lookout U8 Deluxe will come with 15+1 driving modes and is categorized into 10 driving modes, 5 driving functions and an all-terrain adaptive feedback system.
