Exterior Design
The Linghui M9 largely follows the design language of the BYD Xia, with adjustments made only to certain details. The most striking change is the replacement of the chrome trim connecting the headlights with the all-new Linghui logo. The new model features a “Soaring to the Clouds” grille paired with LED daytime running lights, giving the front fascia a distinctly business-oriented look. In terms of exterior color options, the new model is available in four shades—Moonlight White, Ink Black, Azure Blue, and Cloud Purple—to meet the needs of various users, including business and family customers.
In terms of dimensions, the Linghui M9 measures 5200/1970/1805 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3045 mm. The Linghui M9 is 55 mm longer than the 5145 mm BYD Xia, while its width, height, and wheelbase remain unchanged. The 1105 Luxury Edition features a power-operated door on the right side, while the higher-spec 1105 Premium Edition is equipped with power-operated doors on both sides.
Interior Design
The Linghui M9 features a floating touchscreen paired with a 12.3-inch embedded instrument cluster. The center console screen measures 12.8 inches on the Luxury Edition and 15.6 inches on the Prestige Edition. Compared to the BYD Xia’s lineup, which features a 15.6-inch center console screen across all models, the Linghui M9 effectively differentiates itself in terms of technological features. The new model is equipped with the DiLink 100 smart cockpit, featuring full-scenario intelligent voice control (continuous conversation, “see-and-speak,” precise multi-intent understanding, and four-zone voice recognition). It supports functions such as instantly transferring navigation addresses to the infotainment system by shaking your phone and Huawei HiCar smartphone-to-car connectivity.
In terms of seating configuration, the new model adopts a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout. Notably, the Linghui M9’s seats support one-touch reclining and one-touch reset, and are equipped with 4-way power adjustment, 2-way power leg rests, and a convenient access passage in the middle row; the seats integrate 4-way lumbar support and multi-mode massage functions, supported by both physical buttons and a touchscreen control panel. Additionally, the seat ventilation and heating functions offer three adjustable levels, paired with adjustable headrests, seat memory, and anti-pinch safety features.
Powertrain
The Linghui M9 is powered by fifth-generation DM hybrid technology and features a 1.5T engine specifically designed for plug-in hybrid vehicles, with a thermal efficiency of 45.3% and an NEDC fuel consumption of 4.95 L/100 km when the battery is depleted. It is worth noting that the Linghui M9 is equipped with a 26.6 kWh battery, offering a CLTC all-electric range of 145 km and a combined range of 1,105 km when the fuel tank and battery are both fully charged. For reference, the entry-level BYD Xia is equipped with a 20.39 kWh battery and has a CLTC all-electric range of 100 km.
