Exterior Design

The Buick GL8 Century features Buick’s latest “Three-Color Shield” brand emblem and the PURE Design philosophy. The front fascia is equipped with a large-size grille, a full-width light bar, and “7”-shaped headlight clusters, complemented by scale-patterned chrome accents within the grille, giving the vehicle a commanding presence.

The side and rear profiles retain the styling of the current model. Its dimensions are 5,230 × 1,980 × 1,867 millimeters, with a wheelbase of 3,130 millimeters. The seven-seat version offers a trunk capacity of 604–1,901 liters, while the four-seat version provides 628–1,336 liters. Both versions are equipped with 19-inch wheels and dual power-sliding doors. The rear design is dignified and imposing, featuring full-width taillights that offer high visibility when illuminated.

Interior Design

The Buick GL8 Century’s interior features a wraparound cockpit design, available in “Crimson Sunset Black,” “Purple Sunset Moon White,” and “Amber Porcelain White” color schemes. Combined with extensive leather upholstery, it exudes a luxurious feel. Additionally, the four-seat version offers “Picturesque Landscape” gilded door panels and “Mountain and Water” silver-plated real wood trim, further enhancing its premium quality. The new model is equipped with the all-new VCS Smart Cockpit, featuring a 30-inch EYEMAX integrated curved 6K display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. It supports an AI-powered voice assistant, in-car smart navigation, ecosystem and in-car applications, CarPlay, and remote smartphone control.

Powertrain

The Buick GL8 Century is powered by a 2.0T variable-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, supplemented by a 48V mild-hybrid system. It delivers a maximum power output of 174 kilowatts and peak torque of 350 Newton-meters, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds, and achieves a WLTC combined fuel consumption as low as 8.57 liters. Moving on to the chassis, it features a reinforced MacPherson strut suspension or a five-link independent suspension system, and is equipped with RTD continuous damping variable suspension.
