Dongfeng Motor is one of the four major automobile groups in China and one of the top 500 Chinese brands. Headquartered in Wuhan, the largest city in central China, DFM was formerly known as the “Second Automobile Manufacturing Plant”, which was established in Shiyan, Hubei Province in 1969. After fifty years of construction, it has successively built four bases in Shiyan (mainly for medium and heavy commercial vehicles, parts and components, and automobile equipment), Xiangyang (mainly for light commercial vehicles and passenger cars), Wuhan (mainly for passenger cars), and Guangzhou (mainly for passenger cars). Mach Powertrain
Integrating key technologies such as flat wire, oil cooling, 800V high voltage, silicon carbide, etc., the output power of the system reaches 200~280kW, the torque is up to 4,600Nm, and the maximum speed of the motor is up to 30,000rpm, with the comprehensive efficiency breaking through 95%, far exceeding the industry average level.
Integrating extended range, plug-in hybrid and pure electric technologies, its 1.5T hybrid engine has a thermal efficiency of 45.18%, the first hybrid engine in China to break through 45% thermal efficiency, significantly reducing energy consumption.
Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology
Dongfeng is a pioneer in the layout of hydrogen energy technology in China, and its Dongfeng Hydrogen Boat platform adopts a full-power hydrogen fuel cell system with a hydrogen utilization rate of 95%, and has completed a 70MPa high-pressure safety crash test. The representative model AX7-FCV is the first licensable fuel cell passenger car in China, which has been demonstrated in Wuhan and Guangzhou, realizing zero emission and fast replenishment.
SOA Centralized Electrical and Electronic Architecture
The SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) architecture independently developed by Dongfeng is the core of the new-generation electrical and electronic architecture, which supports decoupling of hardware and software and user-defined scenarios, and is characterized by high efficiency hub and high scalability, which can meet the diversified needs of intelligent vehicles in the next five years. The architecture has been applied to Lantu Chasing Light and other models to achieve rapid iteration of the vehicle system and personalized experience.
Intelligent Driving and Vehicle-Road-Cloud Collaboration Technology
In the field of intelligentization, Dongfeng has launched the Tianyuan Architecture and the Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration System, which cover L4-level autonomous driving, full-scene intelligent cockpit and cooperative sensing technology. For example, Dongfeng Yuexiang BUS is equipped with L4-level automatic driving capability and supports multi-brand vehicle cooperative interaction; and the Vehicle Road Cloud system improves the safety and response efficiency of the transportation system through 5G remote control and end-to-end automatic driving technology.
Mast Intelligent Off-road Architecture M-TECH
Aiming at the luxury electric off-road market, Dongfeng launched the M-TECH architecture, which includes the skateboard off-road platform MORA and the all-terrain intelligent solution M-ATS. The architecture supports hardcore technologies such as wheel-side torque of over 20,000N-m and full carbon fiber body, which are applied to models such as MANGS M-HUNTER, filling the technological gaps of China’s luxury electric off-road.
