The BYD Seal is BYD’s all-electric vehicle powered by the BYD e platform 3.0.The car was launched on May 10, 2023, and in March 2024 the Pride Edition was introduced.
Exterior
The Exterior of the BYD Seal is designed with an oceanic aesthetic that incorporates the smooth feel and sporty attributes of a sports car. The car measures 480018751460 millimeters and has a wheelbase of 2920 millimeters. The entire car presents the elegant posture of a sports coupe.
Interior
The interior of the new car adopts the exclusive “Ocean Aesthetics” design concept of Ocean.com, and the overall layout reflects the new generation of Ocean.com’s Interior style. The new car is equipped with dual floating screens as standard, and the area below the center control is equipped with a crystal-style transparent gearshift lever, which is more stunning than the Porsche 911.1 In terms of seats, the main and passenger cars are equipped with multi-directional power adjustments, and the rippling ring embracing seats with dual-color design and three-dimensional stitches are full and generous.
Performance
The BYD Seal is offered with a choice of 61.44kWh as well as 82.56kWh capacity battery packs, and a range of 550km, 650km and 700km in CLTC conditions. The car is available in three different versions, equipped with a 150kW rear-drive motor, a 230kW rear-drive motor and a front 160kW + rear 230kW dual-drive motor, with the 4WD version accelerating from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds, making it the fastest accelerating model in BYD’s history.
Configuration
Seal is based on the BYD ePlatform 3.0 technology platform, and will feature a range of BYD’s latest technologies, including battery-car body integration (CTB), eight-in-one electric powertrain, heat pump system, and boost fast charging. For fast charging, Seal offers two versions to choose from, the standard range version with 110kW DC fast charging power, the long range and 4WD performance version with 150kW DC fast charging power, and 30-80% fast charging time in less than 30 minutes.
