Exterior Design

The appearance of Jetour Freedom adopts a โ€œsquare boxโ€ shape, which looks very delicate, and its center grid and the biggest difference between the Shanhai T1 is that it adopts this kind of silver decorations plus the letters of the logo, the left and right sides of the LED lens headlamps, similar to the four-leaf clover design makes it look very delicate. The front independent bumper is wrapped in black plastic.

The side of the body is very rugged, while the plastic wheel arches, roof racks and other peripheral parts do not exude a small off-road vehicle sense of vision, you do not look at the car size is relatively compact (4706/1967/1845mm wheelbase of 2810mm), 4706mm long, but the wheelbase reached 2810mm, are catching up with some of the mid-size SUVs. The rear design of the vehicle echoes well with the front end, while the rear taillights on both sides remain in the classic four-leaf clover style, which is highly recognizable. The XWD logo located at the lower right corner of the rear highlights the core highlights of the vehicle, while the solid rear bumper is also made of black plastic, incorporating the rear wide-view lamps and a decorative piece similar to a heat sink.

In terms of chassis suspension, the Jetour Freedom adopts a front MacPherson-type independent suspension + rear multi-link independent suspension structural combination, and the higher-end models offer a time-appropriate four-wheel drive system and a multi-plate clutch center differential. As a light off-road SUV, the Jetour Freedom is significantly more comfortable than those hardcore off-road SUVs with non-load-bearing body structure and integral axle suspension. When the vehicle passes through bumps and snowy road surfaces, the suspension system is able to effectively absorb vibrations and keep the vehicle stable.

Interior Design

Inside the car, Jetour Freedom still shows a tough style through straight lines, and the center is equipped with a 15.6-inch center control screen with a built-in 8155 car machine chip, which can support CarPlay, Hicar car machine interconnection, and four-voice zone voice control function. In terms of configuration, the new car will provide 50W air-cooled wireless charging for cell phones, SONY audio system, and L2+ level driver assistance functions and so on. In addition, its front seats provide heating, ventilation, memory and other functions, and the backrest of the rear seats can be adjusted at an angle.

Power

The Jetour Freedom offers 1.5T and 2.0T turbocharged engines with maximum horsepower of 184Ps, 254Ps, maximum power of 135kW, 187kW and maximum torque of 290N-m and 390N-m respectively, which are paired with 7-speed wet dual clutch and 8-speed manual. Among them, the horsepower output from the 2.0T engine is enough to support the daily driving needs of the Jetour Freedom, only that the gearshift is relatively aggressive, the revs are kept at a low level at all times, and the overall driving style will be more inclined to the pursuit of fuel economy.
