Exterior design

The JMEV Yi adopts the design language of the E.C.H.O pioneer design philosophy. The front face of the car has two sharp lines on the front hood, while the hood and front fenders have a crisp, faceted transition. The combination of these surfaces gives the Yi a very sharp front face. In addition, the new car is equipped with symmetrical “7” daytime running lights, and below these are the trapezoidal headlamps, which are equipped with matrix LED light sources. At the bottom of the front face, the new car adopts a layered front bumper design with a trapezoidal air intake, which adds a touch of sportiness to the vehicle.

In terms of the body, the new car also continues the “multi-faceted” design of the front face, the most notable of which is the segmented waistline. One of them starts from the front wheel arch to the rear door handle, and then an arc-shaped waistline above it connects with the taillights. Together with the three-dimensional curved surface design under the doors, the body has a rich sense of layering. In addition, the new car features a hidden B/C pillar design, silver chrome trim on the outside mirrors and the bottom of the side skirts, which all add to the vehicle’s fashionable texture, while the five-spoke spiral wheels and red calipers add a sporty feel. The length, width and height of the new car are 4675/1835/1480mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2750mm.

Compared to the front and body, the rear end of the Yi is relatively simple in design, exuding a sense of stability. Although the upper part of the rear end has a smooth fastback design, the trunk opens like a regular sedan. The taillights of the new car adopt a “Y” shape, which not only visually stretches the body, but also makes the Yi more sharp. Apart from this, the design of other parts of the model is not complicated.

Interior design

The new car is based on a solid black color scheme, with a wraparound front layout and plenty of just-right chrome trim. The overall look is neat and imposing. On the front center console, the new car is equipped with a floating joint screen design of digital LCD instrument + center console display, matched with a two-spoke multifunction flat-bottomed steering wheel, which combines a sense of technology and sportiness.

In addition, the air conditioning control panel is located below the central air conditioning air outlet, and in front of the center armrest box is a “chicken drumstick” gearshift structure with exquisite surrounding buttons, which all enhance the quality of the interior. And underneath them is an open storage compartment that can hold handy items.

Power range

In terms of power performance, the Yi is currently roughly divided into two series. One is the single-motor version that focuses on range, with a maximum output of 110 kW, a peak torque of 225 Nm, and a maximum range of 500 km. The other is the dual-motor version that focuses on performance, with a maximum output of 170 kW, a peak torque of 395 Nm, and a maximum range of 450 km.
