Voyah, a high-end intelligent electric vehicle brand, was established in 2018. Voyah fully integrates Dongfeng’s 53 years of car-making technology and advantageous resources, builds a user-centered innovative business model, and is committed to becoming “China’s leader in high-end new energy passenger cars” and creating a user-oriented technology enterprise. Voyah’s second model, the Voyah Dreamer, is positioned as the “flagship electric luxury MPV”, with 17 first MPV technologies and 21 class-leading technologies, leading the global MPVs into a new era of electrification and low-carbon mobility, and establishing a brand-new standard for electric luxury MPVs. On December 15, 2022, Voyah Chasing Light was officially launched as the first sedan of Voyah brand, based on ESSA Native Intelligent Electric Architecture, and is the first model of Voyah equipped with centralized SOA electronic and electrical architecture.On January 13, 2023, the first batch of mass production vehicles rolled off the production line, and the orders exceeded 10,000 units in the first month. ESSA Native Intelligent Electric Architecture
The ESSA architecture is Voyah’s core technology platform, which supports three power modes: pure electric (BEV), range-extended (REEV), and plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and is compatible with the development of sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and other vehicle types. The architecture achieves 70% module commonality and 85% configuration commonality through modularized design, significantly shortening the development cycle and reducing costs. For example, the Voyah Chasing Light and Dreamer models based on the ESSA architecture can achieve a CLTC range of over 900 kilometers and support the 800V high-voltage platform and 5C super fast charging technology.
Arashi Power System and Amber Battery
Arashi Power is the industry’s only full-stack self-developed “three-mode” power system, including:
Pure electric mode: equipped with 800V silicon carbide high-voltage electric drive, with working condition efficiency of 92.5%, and range increase of 50km;
Plug-in hybrid mode: AI algorithms are used to optimize power output, with a comprehensive range of over 1,200km and fuel consumption as low as 5.36L/100km;
Extended range mode: the third-generation ultra-long extended range system has a thermal efficiency of 45%, with a comprehensive range of 1400km+.
The Amber Battery adopts 212Wh/kg high-density batteries, supports 5C ultra-fast charging (450km range in 10 minutes of charging), and has passed 16 levels of safety protection and more than 1,200 severe tests to ensure that it will not get into water, catch fire or explode.
Qian Kun ADS 3.0 Advanced Driving System
Jointly developed with Huawei, the Qian Kun ADS 3.0 Intelligent Driving System is based on multi-sensor fusion (LIDAR, millimeter-wave radar, vision camera) and end-to-end human-like decision-making architecture, and realizes high-speed/city navigation assistance, automatic parking and other functions.
Electrical and Electronic Tianyuan Architecture
As the underlying support of “Software Defined Vehicle”, Voyah’s electronic and electrical architecture decouples hardware and software, supporting hardware expansion and continuous OTA upgrade of software.4 For example, Voyah’s electronic and electrical architecture can simultaneously support L2.9 autonomous driving, intelligent cockpit interaction and vehicle control functions, and improves the response speed of the system through distributed arithmetic power scheduling.
Smart Manufacturing and Green Factory
Voyah has a world-leading Industry 4.0 digital factory with the following features:
Efficient and flexible production: one customized model comes off the production line every 118 seconds, supporting tens of thousands of configuration combinations;
Green and low-carbon: annual self-produced green power of 20 million kWh, reducing carbon emissions by 11,600 tons (equivalent to planting 528,000 trees);
Intelligent upgrading: applying digital twin, AI quality inspection and other technologies, the new product development cycle is shortened by 20% and the quality is improved by 10%.
Integration of Easy Cockpit and Hongmeng Ecology
Voyah’s self-developed Easy Cockpit system is equipped with Qualcomm 8155/8295 chips, supporting multi-screen linkage (center control screen + HUD + rear entertainment screen) and full-scene voice interaction (wake-up response 0.3 seconds). After deep cooperation with Huawei Hongmeng OS, the cockpit realizes seamless interconnection of mobile phones/cars and accesses AI big models (e.g. DeepSeek) to provide intelligent recommendations, 3D vector sound effects and other functions. For example, Voyah Dreamer Hongmeng Edition is equipped with a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen that supports Dolby Atmos theater-level experience.
