Exterior Design
Although the Jetta VA3’s front end is compact and full-bodied, the raised lines on the hood add a nice touch of muscularity. The front grille features a polygonal “armor” design, with a dot-matrix chrome accent inside that enhances its distinctiveness; the smoked headlight clusters are seamlessly integrated with the grille. The three-section lower bumper is paired with triangular air ducts, while the fog light area features a geometric cut-out design. All models come standard with halogen headlights (with automatic activation exclusive to the top-of-the-line trim), and the Y-shaped daytime running lights—a signature element of the Jetta brand—connect to the grille to form a unified design, enhancing the overall cohesion.
Turning to the side profile of the Jetta VA3, the body features a traditional, classic design. While the conservative visual appeal lacks a sporty flair, it conveys a solid, substantial presence. The prominent, angular character line along the doors, combined with the full-width design and traditional door handles plus multi-spoke wheel covers (14-inch steel wheels on lower trims / 15-inch alloy wheels on higher trims), ground clearance of 114 mm. The overall cohesion is even more impressive, and combined with the prominent lines at the bottom of the doors, the sense of depth is further enhanced. In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 4,501 × 1,704 × 1,469 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,604 mm. Rear legroom is one fist’s width (for a 178 cm tall person), headroom is three fingers’ width, and the center console has a noticeable bulge. The 546L trunk supports a 4/6 split-folding rear seat, and the door panel storage compartments can accommodate a 1.5L water bottle.
Interior Design
The Jetta VA3 adopts a relatively minimalist design approach. The center console is primarily made of hard plastic, with higher-trim models featuring chrome trim. It is equipped with an analog instrument cluster paired with an 8-inch center display, a three-spoke plastic steering wheel, and physical air conditioning knobs for convenient operation. Seats are available in a fabric/faux leather combination. In terms of features, the Jetta VA3 comes standard with seatbelt reminder, tire pressure warning, hill-start assist, engine start-stop, up/down steering wheel adjustment, halogen low/high beams, headlight height adjustment, power-adjustable exterior mirrors, manual air conditioning, and heated exterior mirrors.
Powertrain
The Jetta VA3 is powered by a 1.5-liter engine with a maximum power output of 82 kilowatts and peak torque of 145 Newton-meters. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic with manual mode. The chassis features a MacPherson strut front suspension paired with a rear torsion beam non-independent suspension, tuned for comfort.
