Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Shenzhen, Denza is a joint venture between BYD, China’s leading new energy vehicle manufacturer, and Mercedes-Benz, the world’s leading luxury car manufacturer, and is China’s first joint venture brand dedicated to new energy vehicles.
With the mission of “Creating a new luxury travel experience for users”, the Denza brand combines the all-round advantages of products, services and user ecology to define a new luxury travel experience that exceeds users’ expectations.
Currently, there are several models under the brand, the Denza Z9 Sedan, Denza N7 SUV and the Denza D9 MPV.

ePlatform 3.0
Denza is built on the BYD e Platform 3.0, adopting a highly integrated eight-in-one electric drive system (motor, electronic control, thermal management, etc.), which reduces the volume by 30% and achieves a comprehensive efficiency of 89%; through the CTB Battery-Body Integration Technology, the blade battery is integrated into the chassis, which improves the rigidity of the body (torsional rigidity of more than 40,000N-m/°) and the space utilization rate, and is equipped with the Wide Temperature Range Heat Pump System, which supports efficient operation in extreme cold environments of -30°C. 30°C cold environment, increasing the range by 20% in winter.
Blade Battery
Denza is equipped with BYD blade batteries as standard. Through the design of long thinning core without module, the volume utilization rate is increased by 50%, and the energy density reaches 150Wh/kg; the innovative structure is matched with lithium iron phosphate material, and through the harsh needle puncture test (the surface temperature is only 30-60℃), it realizes the safety standard of “Zero Spontaneous Combustion”, and at the same time, it is equipped with an intelligent temperature control system. Meanwhile, it is equipped with an intelligent temperature control system, which improves the charging efficiency by 25% at low temperatures.
Dual-gun fast charging technology
Denza N7 and other models support dual-gun supercharging. The parallel design of dual charging ports can increase the charging power to 230kW, replenish 350km range in 15 minutes (CLTC standard), compatible with mainstream public fast charging piles, solving the user’s range anxiety, and especially suitable for long-distance traveling scenarios.
Denza Pilot Advanced Intelligent Driving System
Equipped with 33 sensors such as dual LIDAR, 5mm wave radar and 12 cameras, relying on NVIDIA Orin chip (254TOPS arithmetic power), it realizes high-speed NOA navigation assistance, automatic parking and city memory parking, etc.; it is equipped with dual-redundant braking/steering system, with a safety level up to ASIL-D, and will be upgraded to city pilot assistance in 2024.
Cloud Chariot Intelligent Body Control
The Denza N7 is equipped with the Yun Chariot-A air suspension system, which supports millisecond adjustment of suspension height (-150mm to +150mm) and damping, and improves the vibration isolation rate of the road surface by 30%, which takes into account both comfort and maneuverability; and it provides a water-wading mode (lifting the chassis) and a convenient pick-up mode (lowering the body) to adapt to the needs of all scenarios of travel.
