The Cadillac OPTIQ is Cadillac’s new mid-size pure electric SUV, built on the GM’s Ultium intelligent electric platform.
Exterior design
The Cadillac OPTIQ adopts Cadillac’s unique design language. The whole vehicle body adheres to Cadillac’s sharp lines and adopts a light-emitting shield grille similar to the LYRIQ, but slightly smaller in size. The upper edge of the light-emitting shield grille is connected to the daytime running lights on both sides through a chrome strip, forming an integrated headlight group. This new design gives the front of the car an irregular โCโ shape, which looks both harmonious and strong.
The body measures 4822mm long, 1912mm wide, 1643mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2954mm. The entire model has smooth lines, perfectly interpreting Cadillac’s consistent streamlined design. The roof design uses the popular floating style, while the door handles are hidden, which is both technological and in line with the overall shape of Cadillac.
The rear end of the OPTIQ adopts the family design style, with upper and lower segmented taillights that give it a sense of technology. Although it shares the same taillight design as the LYRIQ, there is nothing exaggerated about it. The โducktailโ design at the rear of the car, combined with an irregular rear wing and a large rear apron, adds to the sense of sportiness.
Interior design
The cockpit of the OPTIQ continues the design style of the LYRIQ. The wraparound two-tone cockpit features a curved dual-screen design, a panoramic sunroof, and 26 color ambient lighting to create a luxurious driving environment. The design of the car’s equipment is also quite superior. Design elements such as the three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, electronic gearshift, and diamond-cut knobs all play a positive role in enhancing the sense of luxury in the OPTIQ.
Power
The OPTIQ will be available in single-motor and dual-motor versions. The single-motor version includes two types of motors: 150kW and 180kW. The four-wheel drive version is equipped with two motors: 143kW and 68kW. In addition, the three versions of the vehicle are equipped with battery packs with power ratings of 79.7kWh, 68.4kWh, and 79.7kWh, respectively, and corresponding cruising ranges of 615km, 536km, and 600km.
