The Changan Star 9EV is an all-electric micro-model manufactured by Changan Automobile, designed to meet the needs of urban logistics and distribution. The vehicle is popular for its zero-emission, small turning radius and high agility, and is especially suitable for traveling on busy city streets and handling the “last-mile” logistics and distribution tasks.
Exterior
The overall dimensions of the Changan Star 9EV are 4,430mm long, 1,655mm wide and 1,950mm high, which emphasizes its agility compared to mainstream micro-vehicles. Exterior design of the vehicle is stylish and clean, adopting a multi-span plus chrome center grille with a trapezoidal air intake grille, giving the vehicle a strong sense of hierarchy. The headlights on both sides have a one-piece design with the Changan logo logo inside, showing the manufacturer’s attention to detail.
Interior
Interior, the Changan Star 9EV features a two-tone color scheme that makes the center console look plain and elegant. Equipped with a radio with large buttons and knob-type air-conditioning controls, it is easy for the driver to make adjustments while driving. The instrument panel adopts an LCD display, which makes it easy to grasp information such as battery level, mileage and voltage and current even when driving at night in poor light. The interior is also designed with several storage compartments and two larger cup holders, making it easy for the driver to store logistics documents, cell phones and other belongings.
Performance
In terms of performance, the Changan Star 9EV is equipped with Jiangxi Anchor’s 35.9kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a peak power of 55kW. The official NEDC range is up to 245km, and the vehicle’s load test shows that even when fully loaded, the Changan Star 9EV can demonstrate good range and driving experience.
Configurations
The Changan Star 9EV is available in a variety of configuration options, including different battery capacities and motor powers, as well as 2-, 5- and 7-seat seating configurations. The total power of the models ranges from 55kW to 70kW, and the range, depending on configuration, is 245km to 260km in NEDC and 220km in CLTC. All models are available in 2WD configuration.
