Exterior Design
The Dongfeng Honda S7 is a mid-sized pure-electric SUV based on Honda’s Yunchi Intelligent and Efficient Pure-Electric W Architecture, and is seen as an important achievement in the brand’s electrification transformation. With the core selling point of โdouble first-class strengthโ, the new car integrates Honda’s latest technologies in the fields of electrification and intelligence, and is set to compete with popular models such as the BYD Tang EV and the Tesla Model Y. The S7’s body dimensions are 4750/1900mm.
The S7 measures 4750/1930/1625mm and has a wheelbase of 2930mm. The 61.7% wheelbase to length ratio combined with Honda’s MM spatial concept makes the rear legroom more spacious, comparable to that of a medium to large SUV.
Its appearance adopts split daytime running lights and Y-shaped matrix headlamp design, penetrating tail lamps continue the Y-shaped fork elements, the overall style of wide-bodied low, with 21-inch smoked wheels and hidden power door handles, both sporty and futuristic.
Interior Design
Equipped with a 15.6-inch floating center control screen (some versions are equipped with a 12.8-inch + 10.25-inch dual-screen combination), the built-in Honda CONNECT 4.0 system supports AI large model voice assistant (recognition rate of more than 95%), full-scene eco-interconnection, and OTA upgrade of the entire vehicle. The Intelligent Light Language System realizes 15+ kinds of function linkage through 1031 LED light strips, and together with the BOSE super near-field headrest speakers and ARHUD head-up display, it creates an immersive interactive experience.
Smart Driving
Honda SENSING 360+ system is equipped with 26 sensors (including 9 cameras and 5 millimeter-wave radars), supporting L2+ functions such as high-speed NOA navigation and curve departure warning, and is expected to be connected to Huawei’s ADS advanced program in the future.
Power Range
The new car offers rear-drive single-motor and dual-motor four-wheel-drive versions, with the maximum power of the single-motor model being 200 kilowatts; and the total motor power of the dual-motor four-wheel-drive model being 350 kilowatts. The chassis adopts front double-wishbone + rear five-link independent suspension, realizing 50:50 front to rear axle load ratio for the first time. It is matched with Bosch high-performance steering system and 265mm Mazda custom tires, emphasizing the precision of handling.
The 89.8kWh lithium ternary battery from Ningde Times adopts a 12,000-ton unibody die-cast all-aluminum casing, and the single-motor rear-wheel drive version of the CLTC has a range of 650km, while the dual-motor four-wheel drive version has a range of 620km; the four-wheel drive version has a combined power of 350kW (476 hp), and accelerates to zero in 4.6 seconds. The design with 25% of hot-formed steel and 40,000 Nm/degree torsional stiffness also guarantees the safety of the vehicle.
