Hongqi HS5 continues to follow the family design style, the front of the body occupies a large proportion of the wide center grid, and its internal symmetrical network forms a pattern centered on the Red Flag logo, the overall effect is stylish and atmospheric. In addition, the rectangular LED headlight group enhances visual recognition. The Xuan Shadow Edition model takes black as its base color, and the details of the front face are also blackened, making the Hongqi logo more conspicuous.

On the side, Hongqi HS5 adopts a sporty design, with the waistline extending from the bottom of the A-pillar to the bottom of the C-pillar, forming a muscular line, which contrasts with the design of the side skirts, giving the whole car a more sporty flavor. The chrome trim on the windows contrasts sharply with the black body, making the sense of hierarchy clearer. At the rear, the design is simple and smooth, with the tail lights adopting a through design, echoing the Hongqi logo in the center of the front face. The spoiler above the rear and the diffuser below further enhance the car’s sporty look.

In terms of body dimensions, the length, width and height of Hongqi HS5 is 4785*1905*1700mm, wheelbase is 2870mm, positioned as a medium-sized SUV. in terms of space performance, the 170cm tall experiencer adjusted the front seat, headroom has two punches of excess, and the seat’s wrapping feeling is relatively satisfactory. The rear legroom is also relatively generous, the seats support two gears of adjustment, the application of panoramic sunroof to enhance the ride comfort and permeability. Except for the entry-level model, the front seats are also equipped with heating and ventilation functions, providing a comfortable driving experience for different seasons.

Interior Design

The center console of Hongqi HS5 adopts a dual-patchwork color design, while the door panels and seats are offered in a dark red option, with an overall sense of atmosphere and quality. The new car is equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, full LCD instrument panel and center control screen are 12.3 inches. In terms of configuration, the new car supports Hicar and Carlink cell phone interconnection mapping function, which enables navigation, video, music and other functions to be seamlessly connected to the car, increasing the user’s experience fun. The entry version adds faux leather seat wrapping, panoramic sunroof and electric tailgate; the mid-range version adds lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, sensor electric tailgate and adaptive cruise control.

In terms of safety features, the Hongqi HS5 comes standard with six airbags, providing front collision warning, rear collision warning, lane departure warning, reverse vehicle side warning, door opening warning, parallel assist, active braking, and front and rear parking assist radar. In addition, it is also equipped with a 360-degree panoramic image and transparent image with L2-level full-speed adaptive cruise control. These safety features comprehensively enhance the safety and reliability of the vehicle. The vehicle adopts a cage-type high-strength steel structure design, which meets the C-NCAP five-star safety standard.

Power

Hongqi HS5 is equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 185 kW and a peak torque of 380 Nm, which is matched with an 8-speed manual transmission, and the comprehensive fuel consumption is 7.34 liters per 100 kilometers, using No. 95 gasoline. In terms of driving experience, the vehicle starts with a relatively rapid power response, and the power output is linear when the throttle is increased. When overtaking at high speed, the power performance is also excellent. The chassis adopts the front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension, and provides time-controlled four-wheel drive options. When facing uneven roads or speed bumps, the vehicle passes through more sharply, and the rear passengers are not easy to feel the shaking.
