The front fascia of the Peugeot 5008 adopts the “Infinity” design language, featuring a frameless “Star Motion” grille that spans the width of the vehicle. The gradient texture within the grille, paired with the all-new sharp, shield-shaped lion emblem, creates a powerful visual impact. The GT version’s exclusive blacked-out package (smoked lion emblem, piano black side mirrors) further enhances its sporty presence. The fang-style LED daytime running lights on both sides blend seamlessly with the full-LED “Lion’s Eye” headlights. With smoked lamp housings and pixel-style lighting, the lights are highly recognizable when illuminated at night and support adaptive high/low beams and sequential turn signals, maximizing the high-tech feel. The front bumper features bold lines, with sharp air intakes on both sides and a trapezoidal grille at the bottom that reinforces the sporty look. The overall front end strikes a balance between French elegance and the ruggedness of an SUV.
The side profile of the Peugeot 5008 continues the brand’s classic “diving” stance, with a sharp character line running from the front fender to the rear, paired with recessed door lines to create a muscular body. The floating Black Diamond roof and 19- or 20-inch diamond-cut wheels enhance both sophistication and sportiness. The vehicle measures 4,670 × 1,855 × 1,655 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. This class-leading wheelbase ensures generous interior space, making it more spacious than competitors like the Nissan X-Trail and Mitsubishi Outlander. The C-pillar features black trim panels and chrome accents to create a floating roof effect, while black door sill guards and fender flares below the doors balance practicality with an off-road aesthetic.
The rear of the Peugeot 5008 features a dynamic design, with rounded taillights that echo the sharp headlights at the front, offering high visibility when illuminated. The uniquely styled exhaust tips further enhance the vehicle’s sporty character, while the tailgate’s clean, flowing lines contribute to a harmonious and elegant overall appearance. Although it does not feature the currently popular full-width taillights, this classic design is actually better suited to the 5008’s positioning as a reliable family SUV.
Interior Design
The Peugeot 5008’s i-Cockpit design delivers a striking visual impact. The compact steering wheel is paired with a floating 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster. At first glance, it may seem as though the steering wheel obstructs the view of the instrument cluster, but once you lower the seat, pull the steering wheel all the way out, and adopt a semi-reclined, race-car-style seating position, you’ll discover the ingenuity of this design: you can read the instrument cluster information without taking your eyes off the road, which significantly reduces visual fatigue and enhances driving safety. The 2,840 mm wheelbase enables a flexible 2+3+2 seven-seat layout. The second-row seats feature 16 cm of fore-and-aft adjustment and 31° recline, with a completely flat center floor for enhanced comfort; the third-row seat cushions are raised by 40 mm, allowing even adults to sit comfortably.
Powertrain
The Peugeot 5008 is powered by a 1.8T turbocharged engine with a maximum power output of 155 kW and peak torque of 300 N·m, paired with an Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission. The strength of this powertrain lies in its exceptional smoothness and clear shift logic. The chassis features a front MacPherson strut and rear variable-beam semi-independent suspension setup. Combined with Peugeot’s traditional expertise in chassis tuning, it strikes a practical balance between comfort and handling.
