Exterior Design

The front fascia of the Volkswagen ID.Unyx 08 features a closed-off grille design, with a gold illuminated logo at its center serving as the visual focal point. All design lines converge toward this point, complemented by a gold central axis that runs through the interior and exterior of the vehicle, paying homage to Chinese symmetrical aesthetics. The new model’s elongated, upward-sweeping headlight cluster features a split design. The upper section houses narrow LED daytime running lights containing over 400 individually controllable LED bulbs, supporting customizable dynamic lighting sequences that display distinct animation effects during unlocking, parking, and driving. The lower section, housing the low- and high-beam lights, blends seamlessly with a black panel that extends to the side fenders, further emphasizing the long, sleek front end.

Viewed from the side, the Volkswagen ID.Unyx 08 boasts a more elongated body compared to the ID.Unyx 06. It features a dual-character line design, with bold black fender flares at the front and rear paired with large-diameter wheels, significantly enhancing the vehicle’s sporty stance. In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 5,000 mm in length, 1,954 mm in width, and 1,688 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. At the rear, the Yuzhong 08 features elongated, straight taillights that are relatively more understated compared to the front end. It is equipped with an illuminated red badge, a gold “ID.UNYX” emblem at the bottom, and a “Yuzhong 08” badge on the right side of the tailgate to identify the model.

Interior Design

The Volkswagen ID.Unyx 08 is equipped with a dual 14.96-inch connected screen and a 1.74-square-meter smart dimming panoramic sunroof. The all-new HMI interface supports personalized customization, providing one-touch access to navigation, intelligent driving assistance, music, and entertainment functions. The customizable AI companion has been comprehensively upgraded, integrating dual AI capabilities that combine the Zhipu AI Foundation Large Model and the Wenxin Model. Through voice control, it delivers a humanized travel experience.

The cabin features 95% soft-touch upholstery, with seats crafted from Nappa leather refined through 40 meticulous processes, and a suede-lined headliner. The front passenger seat offers 14-way power adjustment, a leg rest, and a 10-point pneumatic massage function, paired with a soft-light vanity mirror to create a “queen’s front passenger seat”; The second-row seats support 10° recline adjustment and feature integrated heating, folding table trays, and a center armrest with built-in cup holders, ensuring ample legroom even when fully occupied.

Powertrain

The Volkswagen ID.Unyx 08 is built on an 800V high-voltage silicon carbide platform, supporting up to 315kW DC fast charging, with 5 minutes of charging providing 150 km of range. The entire lineup is equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries, available in 82kWh and 95kWh capacities. The 95kWh version offers a maximum CLTC-rated range of 730 km, supports DC fast charging at a peak power of 315 kW, and can add 150 km of range in 5 minutes, with a 10%-80% charge taking approximately 20 minutes. The model is available in both single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. The all-wheel drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The entire lineup comes standard with dual-chamber air suspension and the DCC adaptive chassis control system, and is equipped with Brembo four-piston fixed calipers at the front, designed to deliver a stable and precise driving experience.
