Hongqi
Hongqi is a high-end automobile brand directly operated by China FAW. On January 8, 2018, China FAW released the new Hongqi brand strategy, with “Chinese New Noble Sophistication” as the brand concept.On October 23, 2018, Hongqi brand signed a contract to become the diamond partner of the Fifth World Internet Conference.
In April 2022, China FAW joined hands with Israel’s Samelet Group to hold the launch ceremony of Hongqi’s flagship model, the E-HS9, in the central Israeli city of Tel Aviv, marking the official landing of Red Flag vehicles in the Israeli market.
At present, the main new energy models under Hongqi are Hongqi E-QM5, Hongqi Tiangong 08 and Hongqi EH7.

Tiangong Pure Electricity Platform and Nine Chapters Intelligent Platform
This is the core technology combination of Hongqi’s new energy strategy. Focusing on electrification, the Tiangong pure electric platform features super-efficient electric drive (up to 96% efficiency), low-temperature-resistant batteries (93% power retention rate at minus 10°C), and high-speed replenishment (800V super fast charging with a 5-minute range of 300 kilometers), which solves the winter range anxiety and charging efficiency problems of northern users. Jiuzhang Intelligent Platform focuses on intelligence, based on centralized computing architecture, equipped with self-developed FAW.OS and Hongqi No.1 chip, which supports high-level automatic driving (such as NOA function with national urban coverage) and Rhinoceros Cockpit (dual-focus AR-HUD, multimodal interaction, etc.), realizing the intelligent experience of vehicle-cloud integration. This realizes the intelligent experience of vehicle-cloud integration.
Cryogenic Battery Technology
Aiming at the pain point of extremely cold environment, Hongqi has independently developed low-temperature active electric core and multi-source intelligent heating technology, which can maintain battery energy retention rate up to 93% at -10℃ and support intelligent thermal management, reducing energy consumption of air conditioning by 30% in winter. This technology breaks through the bottleneck of EV use in cold areas and becomes the differentiated competitiveness of Hongqi’s new energy models.
Hybrid Platform HMP
Hongqi’s hybrid platform HMP took five years to research and develop, integrating 526 core technologies, covering transverse and longitudinal transmissions, high thermal efficiency engines (45.2% thermal efficiency) and intelligent electric drive systems. Its power decoupled electric drive can switch between 4WD and 2WD modes within 100ms, with a combined efficiency of over 90%. Meanwhile, it optimizes energy consumption through an intelligent energy control model, with a fuel-saving rate of up to 40%, taking into account both performance and environmental protection.
Sinan High-order Intelligent Driving System
As the industry’s first 10V visual smart driving solution, Sinan Smart Driving adopts an end-to-end large model and a trinocular inertial guidance stereo vision system to support automatic driving under complex road conditions in cities across the country (left and right turn success rate of 99%), and to realize cross-floor memory parking (up to 2km path). Its bionic binocular vision can accurately lock the target spatial position (accuracy of 5cm), and its telephoto monocular recognizes obstacles 300 meters away, significantly improving the safety of high-speed scenes.
FMEs Super-architecture
Hongqi’s “flag” high-end electric and intelligent super architecture, FMEs, is centered on the “Five Poles of Advantage” (innovativeness, integrality, original innovation, advanced manufacturing, and cost advantage), covering three subplatforms: electric, intelligent, and hybrid. Among them, the energy density of high-energy battery of electric platform HME reaches 260Wh/kg, far exceeding the industry average; intelligent platform HIS supports L3-level automatic driving and OTA upgrade of the whole vehicle; and hybrid platform HMP adapts to the needs of multiple models through modularized design, showing the ability of Hongqi’s full-scenario technology coverage.
