Hi4-T Intelligent 4WD Electro-Hybrid Technology
Hi4-T is a non-decoupled electromechanical four-wheel drive system designed for hardcore off-roading, retaining the advantages of traditional mechanical four-wheel drive while integrating the characteristics of electric motor drive. Equipped with a longitudinal engine (2.0T/3.0T), P2 electric motor and 9HAT transmission, power distribution is realized through the driveshaft, and together with three mechanical differential locks, it can maintain 100% power output even when one wheel is on the ground. Its battery layout is under the trunk, taking into account safety, but the power retention capacity is weak. This technology is applied to the Tank 400 Hi4-T and Tank 500 Hi4-T models, which are especially suitable for extreme off-road scenarios such as desert and muddy ground extrication.
Hi4-Z off-road electric four-wheel drive technology
Hi4-Z is an upgraded version of Hi4-T, adopting decoupled 4WD architecture, eliminating the central drive shaft, realizing torque distribution through the front and rear axles electronically controlled, and equipping the left and right wheels with electronically controlled mechanical differential locks. Its P2+P4 dual-motor combination enhances power performance (100km/h acceleration in 4 seconds), and the battery capacity has been increased to 59.09kWh, with a WLTC pure electric range of more than 200km. The addition of planetary gears and a 3-speed DHT supports the low-speed power shunt, realizing the charging while driving and taking into account the needs of the city and light off-road. The representative model is the Tank 500 Hi4-Z.
Tank Platform Modular Architecture
With globalization, intelligence and modularization as its core, the Tank Platform supports ICE, PHEV and HEV power forms and is compatible with non-load-bearing body. Its 3.0T V6 engine + 9AT P2 hybrid system can output 380kW total power and 750N-m peak torque, with active suspension, electronically-controlled shock absorbers and automatic terrain recognition technology to intelligently switch driving modes. Functions such as wading depth detection and creep mode further reduce the threshold of off-road operation, while integrating L2-level automatic driving and OTA upgrade capability.
Multi-Power Coverage and Fuel Technology Optimization
In response to the diversified needs of users, the tank provides multiple versions of fuel, diesel and hybrid power. For example:
2.0T gasoline engine: with Miller cycle, 350bar direct injection technology, WLTC fuel consumption is as low as 9.85L/100km, balancing power and economy.
2.4T diesel engine: thermal efficiency of 42.3%, peak torque of 480N-m at 1500rpm, no degradation of power at plateau, WLTC fuel consumption of only 8.9L/100km, and a comprehensive range of nearly 1000km.
The fuel version of the model solves the diesel engine noise problem through ANC active noise reduction and other technologies, and retains the pure driving experience of mechanical four-wheel drive.
All Terrain Intelligent Off-road System
Hardcore functions such as triple locks, tank turnaround, creep mode, etc. are standard, combined with parameters such as 33° approach angle, 31° departure angle, 800mm wading depth, etc., to cover rocky, sandy, snowy, and other complex terrains. Intelligent four-wheel drive system (TOD+Mlock) can distribute torque in real time, with a climbing ratio of 57.24. Combined with non-load-bearing body and all-aluminum suspension, it achieves a balance between high-intensity off-road and on-road handling.
